The highly anticipated Lazeez Shawarma met it's ✔ today. It's been raved by many and for good reason. Now, I have been to Pita Boss, On Z Rocks and Osmows already, and to me it seems that all places are good! Where favoritism Plays is on little nippicky things. So what's so good about Lazeez?? Well the rice was cooked just perfectly! And it wasn't crazy yellow like On Z Rocks or Osmows and it wasn't white like Pita Boss. They're portion sizes for everything was great, a perfect ratio between rice and meat as Kassandra described it. The sauce was very plentiful. However, On Z Rocks is still the most generous in their sauce squeeze. The hot sauce was perfect in mine going for Mild. Be warned they're hotness is turnt up compared to other shawarma joints. This is the only place I've seen them actually slice the meat off the spit to order! Which gave you lots of crispy bits of chicken in the shawarma 👌 *Give me some more of that!* I got lettuce and tomatoes in my shawarma which I'll try and request from now on because it just made it so much better IMO! That lettuce holds onto the sauce with the rice, and acts as a flavor tray of saucey goodness right to your face hole 👅. They also offered alot of unique toppings like pickles and hummus on the shawarna (including a lot more) which I haven't come across before.
I've also had the Chicken Shawarma wrap. Easily as good as the shawarma. But better? It's debatable based on what you like more, or what you need at the time. I was in a rush when I ordered the wrap so made it real convenient to eat on the go and still get all the great saucy, meaty, tangy flavors. I would definetly order the wrap again sometime, but my go-to is always on the rocks.
The only down side was the wait...it can be as busy as Osmows during prime hours. Took us about 18-20 minutes to get everything.
So glad I finally tried Lazeez! It definitely lived up to the hype!
