Gangster style burgers? What does that even mean?! I'll tell you what it means! Real deal burgers with in your face flavors! Burgers that make a name for themselves cause they stand out. Not just by their unusual presentation, but also their flavor! This place hasn't been mediated enough IMO. Only heard from it from my friend, and again from my sister (Who accompanied me on the burger ballet). They're a relatively small establishment, I couldn't imagine the chaos the building would have if we came during prime hours. Surprisingly, we were the only people there at 9pm on a Saturday...
They have a good selection of burgers, each unique with their own names based off their toppings and sauces. Gangster Burger probably stands out for their house made sauces (Like Blue moon and Ganster Goo). I got "The Lucas", which came with a 60z beef patty, Bacon, tomato and the Blue Moon SAUCE. Look at it! Have you ever seen the color BLUE on/in a burger?! it looks like a Goosebumps Burger more soo, but it was freaking delicious. Don't let the color scare you off, the sauce is actually a Garlic, parm based sauce. So creamy, and garlicy. The burger tasted really good, but didn't have that melty, beef crumble like other places. Still a good patty tho., The bacon had perfect texture, and flavor. Non of that cheap bacon here. The bun had great integrity, it held up till the very end, unlike most burger buns that are just bread scraps half way through. The Burger to Bun ratio however was very poor, like twice as much bun to patty. If I had to make 1 change to the burger, was for a wider, thicker patty. (at least 8Oz patties required, srs)
The burger was great,m but PEOPLE! The real champion here were their french fries. I swear to you these will be the best french fries you will ever had. They were perfectly seasoned. Which is another way to say that they were very salty, but thats my ideal fry seasoning. And lord have mercy, they were so crisp, like they defy laws of crispiness. Some fry hacks they have going on in this place; and plus their garlic aioli was in no exaggeration a mouth-gasim.
Gangster burger surpasses any other burger place simply for their french fries! Although their is more bun than beef for this burger, they bring some serious creativity to their burgers with their sexy sauces.
