Now you no longer need to choose between sushi or a burrito. One of the trendiest food fad’s is finally getting a Beast and Feast review!

I am a big time sushi fan. I’d say its probably in one of my top 10 most favorite foods to eat out. To me its almost considered a comfort food, and I am sure many people share that relation with it as well. Sushi is fantastic, the only bad thing about it is that you normally have to sit and eat it. Those chop stick skills take some focusing and precision. The revolutionizing sushi-rrito allows you to skip the dine-in patience and allows you to take your sushi with you as you go about your day. Not to mention it’s a new way to eat sushi which gives it a little bit more attention and glamour. And its fun to eat your favorite foods in a new form. Take the Panzerotti, or the Ice-cream sandwich. The concept has promise at first portrayal.

Corners offers many envisioned sushi-rrito’s already for simplicity. But you are also able to fill your own based on your taste or preferences. I know exactly how I like my burrito given I’ve had my fair share over the years. But the sushi-ritto was my first rodeo and I figured going with a pre-existing option was the best route. I decided to go with the one I heard the most about, “The Rising Sun”. Averaging about 10-13$ for one of the sombrero sea fusions, and prepared right in front of you. Although the ingredients vary from what you order, your sushi-rrito will contain a protein, some julienne vegetables, fish roe and mayo based sauces all rolled in a rice and seaweed wrap.

The sushi-rrito was INCREDIBLE! I’ll admit I was initially a little worried that it for some reason wouldn’t work. Concerned that the wraps content ratios would be off. But not at all. Textural speaking there was a crunch in every bite with the julienne vegetables and the fish roe. Tons flavor coming from the sauce, salmon, and seaweed. And the rice carrying it all out. It was delicious. The only issue with it wasn’t wrapped like a burrito. So what ends up happening is that contents can be squeezed out the open bottom as you eat and collect in the paper. My final bite was 3 big chinks of salmon and some smeared Avocado on them. Which is as appealing as it sounds as a finisher to this sumo sized sushi roll. Aesthetically talking, that cross section is your only means of persuasion to wanting to try this item. It was for me at least.

All in all, it was probably some of the best sushi I have ever had. The size of it was perfect for what it was. Some may feel its on the larger side of what they can handle. Luckily saving half for next day's lunch is just as good as eating it the day of. The ingredients are fresh and crisp while the sushi itself was saporous. Im probably still more of a fan of the AYCE set up to get my sushi fix simply because an appetite like mine would need at least two of these Sushi-rritos. Never-the-less I would honor this sushi-rrito again for sure to try their other combinations!

Corners by Fork and Spoon has plenty of other menu items they offer like poke bowls and bubble tea. Definitely worth checking it out. That makes this review, a wrap.
