Uncle Tetsu Japanese Cheesecake has dominated the corner Bay and Dundas in Toronto. Although this is a very late review relative for the long term popularity of Uncle Tetsu, it is still deserving of my two cents. After all, eating an entire cheesecake and reviewing it afterwards does seem fitting for this site.

The product is unique, and the logo is iconic. You have probably at least heard of Uncle Tetsu somewhere in the last 5 years if you live in the GTA. The cheesecake is certainly a stand apart from the Americanized cheesecake i hold close to my heart; offering a more light and fluffy tone to the dare to be different delight,. The Cheesecake is almost like a cheesecake and an angle cake did a dragonball z fusion maneuver and shazam!....You'll discover you're new favorite Goku Japanese dessert. You'll find yourself Krillin for another one soon after, but you'll probably find the lineup to be an unbearable passage for this dish.

I kid you not, there is literally a line for the LINE at this place, and it does not go fast. Estimate a 30-50 minute wait I'd say but expect worse on weekends or crowded events.

Worth the try, but hard to find the desire to go back for seconds if I know i'd have to wait 3,600 of them

Pros:

Unique

Fluffy, tasty change to usualy cheesecake

Cons:

The line-up
